Delivery to a Residence

When arranging a delivery to a private residence, please mind the following tips to ensure that your delivery is successful:

Domestic Delivery: For domestic residential deliveries, signatures are generally not required. This means that your shipment can be left at the residential address even if no one is home to receive it.

International Delivery: For shipments coming from international addresses, a signature may be required upon delivery. This ensures that the package is received by the intended recipient and provides an added layer of security for international shipments.

Delivery Location: Shipments are typically delivered next to the front door of your residence. It's important to ensure that there is a safe and accessible spot for the driver to leave your package.

Apartment Building Delivery: If delivering to an apartment building, shipments will be delivered to the designated delivery location. This location is often the lobby, main office, or a dedicated shipping/receiving area. Make sure to check with your building management to understand where packages are usually left and to notify them of any expected deliveries.

Delivery Reattempt: If a driver is not comfortable leaving your shipment at the delivery address due to security concerns or the lack of a safe place to leave it, the shipment will be reloaded onto the delivery vehicle to make another delivery attempt the following business day. This ensures that your package is not left in a potentially unsafe location.

Delivery timing: Your shipment will deliver to your home on or before the delivery-by date on your order. Residential deliveries can occur as late as 8:00 pm, and the precise time depends upon the driver's route for that date. Please keep that in mind as you make plans based on when you receive your shipment. You will receive a notification from Luggage Free once your shipment is delivered. Deliveries can occur every day of the week, except on holidays.
